Brother Of Late NFL Star Aaron Hernandez Arrested On Suspicion Of Planning School Shooting

The brother of the late New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has been arrested after allegedly plotting school shootings. Dennis "DJ" Hernandez is a former football player at UConn.

During a July 18 incident, he was shocked with a stun gun and arrested by police after allegedly threatening to kill officers who had gone to his home in Bristol, Connecticut. Now, he's behind bars after a woman close to him told police she was worried he was planning a school shooting.

According to an arrest report, Hernandez said he planned to kill anyone who profited off his late brother. Two women close to him also described his mental health as "deteriorating."

One of the women also told police that Hernandez told her he'd driven to UConn’s campus in Storrs and Brown University’s campus in Providence, Rhode Island, to “map the schools out.” UConn police confirmed that a vehicle belonging to Hernandez was on campus that day.
