Adele not only sang for her fans on the opening night of her tour in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on Monday, she was also making love connections.
The multiplatinum singer, who blew everyone away with a performance at the BRIT Awards just days prior, asked if any of her female fans would like to propose to their significant other in honor of the leap year. It was Adele's first time performing in an arena for her fans, so she had to do it big!
She then invited Hayley Consuegra, 34, onstage with her so that she could pop the question to longtime boyfriend Neil Pringle, 47. Hayley revealed that she had asked Neil to marry her earlier that day, but he responded, "Maybe in a little while." That wasn't good enough for Adele, who even had the whole audience scream, "Come on, Neil!" Adele can be seen jumping from joy once Neil accepted the offer.
The couple, who had previously spoken about spending their life together, embraced for the rest of the show.
"It funny because we actually broke up for a while, but we got back together after I sent him a link to Adele's song 'Someone Like You,'" Consuegra told the Daily Mail. "I had seen it on the Brits and it [made] me think of him. Adele was a big part of us getting back together. She has really written the words to our story."
