I know, I know. Traveling by plane is the safest way to get around. And I fly a lot. But no matter how many times I hear that planes are safer than cars and that there are so many safety checks on every flight designed to insure everyone gets where they're supposed to be in one piece, I still think about how bad it is when something DOES go wrong.
This video is from Barcelona's airport this last weekend. A commercial pilot coming in for a landing had to make a split-second decision to abort the landing and circle the airport when he saw another commercial jet rolling across the runway. The two planes were mere seconds from a disaster that surely would have killed all those on board.
Thank God for quick thinking! Please SHARE this incredible footage of what was almost a disaster!
