High school graduation is a big accomplishment and milestone in life. It gets to be celebrated and recognized. That’s exactly what Alana Thompson’s family is doing. Toddlers & Tiaras fans know her as “Honey Boo Boo”, but she is all grown up these days.
On May 20, 2023, Alana graduated from Wilkinson County High School in McIntyre, Georgia. Mama June Shannon, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, and Jessica Shannon all celebrated the new grad on Instagram. Alana also posted about her big day.
Proud Mama June posted a video of the big day. “Well today alana closed one chapter of her life,” her caption began. Mama June acknowledged Alana for all her hard work. “I know we have been through ALOT and I know the road hasn’t been a easy one for you,” she wrote. “Girl u done it now.” She gushed, “I’m so very proud of you you never gave up.”
Alana’s sisters, Lauryn and Jessica, also got in on the action.
“To say im proud would be an understatement,” Lauryn caption her video of Alana graduating. “To be there a witness this next chapter I’m amazed. Amazed at how much you’ve grown, how beautiful your soul is, & most importantly how far youve come against all odds.”
Jessica agreed. “You’ve came a long way from being that aggravating lil sister who was all my butt to a beautiful young lady ❤️,” she teased. “I’m so proud of you and I want you know that I’ll always have your back regardless of anything.”

Alana also marked this day on her own Instagram account. It is important to celebrate yourself, after all.
“I did it yall,” she exclaimed. “Despite all the challenges and curveballs, that were thrown my way. I still did it, and I never gave up.” She concluded by saying, “if nobody is proud of me I'm proud of my damn self,” but it appears as if her family is overjoyed about her accomplishments as well, so she doesn't have to worry about that.
