Bode Miller Shares Video Of Son Running Up Giant Hill Because He Quit His Soccer Team

Parents will often do what they can when it comes to teaching their kids a valuable lesson, and it comes no different for Bode Miller and his family. The 46-year-old skier recently posted a reel to his Instagram. He expressed that he was trying to teach his son not to quit.

"After quitting on his soccer team during his first game of the year, I let him run the hill," Bode said in the post. "Enforcing consequences isn’t my favorite part of parenting, but learning from them is important."

His son is seen running up a hill while Bode trails behind him in a vehicle. "This was about so much more than a game of soccer. It’s about teaching our kids never to quit," he explained. Though the comments are now turned off, it appears that the post orginially collected some backlash.

"This is actually insane," one person said. "Kids are their own people that are growing into adulthood. They are not your vessel to fulfill your own personal expectations."
