Supermodel Chrissy Teigen really wants people to stop asking her one personal question: “When are you going to have kids?”
It's a question that continuously plagues women all around the world, especially those nearing their thirties. But the 29-year-old has had enough.
“I will say that, just two years into being married, the questions just come from all over and it’s kind of crazy,” she said during an episode of her new daytime show FABlife.
While sitting next to co-host Tyra Banks, Teigen candidly spoke about her struggle to conceive with husband/singer John Legend, whom she wed in 2013. The pair, who has been together for almost 10 years, has visited fertility doctors just like thousands of other couples each year.
“I will say, honestly, John and I we’re having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened, but my gosh, it’s been a process," she said.
The outspoken star, who recently got a lot of attention for posting a bold photo of her stretch marks on Instagram, pointed out how painful the question could be for certain couples.
“I can’t imagine being that nosy," she said. "Because who knows what somebody’s going through, who knows if somebody’s struggling to have children."
Banks subsequently teared up when chiming in on the issue defending Teigen's point.
