In 2015, a twenty-something woman named Ellie Farnfield was traveling alone on a London train. The part-time acupuncture student was heading to teach a fitness class.
Suddenly, and without warning, Ellie suffered an epileptic seizure and collapsed on the train floor.
When Ellie came to, she found herself alone in the hospital. She was confused and hazy, but quickly noticed a handwritten note beside her.
The note, written in blue pen on a piece of looseleaf paper, was from a man named Tom who she did not know.
Ellie was so blown away by what this note said that she posted it on Facebook in an effort to track down this mysterious Tom.

In 2015, 27-year-old Ellie Farnfield caught a London train by herself.
The acupuncture student was heading to teach a fitness class after leaving a family get-together.
As the train approached the station, Ellie suffered a sudden fit, which turned out to be an epileptic seizure.
With no companions to care for her, Ellie collapsed on the floor and blacked out.
Ellie woke up in the hospital with no recollection of what happened or how she got there. But when she looked down, she saw a handwritten note beside her.
The note read:
Hi Eleanor.
I hope by the time you read this you are feeling better. You had a seizure on the train and I took you off. You didn't hit your head but I may have hurt your leg as I walked on it before realizing you were on the floor having a fit! Sorry!
I'm also sorry I can't stay with you now but here is a coffee to perk you up later and £10 to make sure you get a taxi home. Sorry I don't have anymore money so I hope you don't live far away.
I've contacted people from your phone and medical help is on its way and you're with train staff. Wishing you all the best and a quick recovery.
Love Tom
Ellie couldn't believe that Tom not only brought her to safety, but went the extra mile by leaving her with a cup of coffee and 13 dollars.
Ellie had no idea who this mysterious "Tom" was. He left no other trace of his identity.
So, she posted the note and story on her Facebook page, hoping to track him down. She says his actions "restored her faith in humanity."
Ellie wanted everyone to share the note, and it quickly went viral.
"I have no idea who this man was or if he was sitting next to me but I wanted to show how grateful I am to him," she wrote on Facebook. "If Tom does come forward, first of all I would like to give him back his money and then thank him for what he did. He deserves a lot of praise."
People all over the world posted Tom's note, hoping someone out there would know him.
Ellie has yet to track down her guardian angel, but she is just as hopeful as ever.
"It was so nice of him, it's one thing helping people but doing additional things like what Tom did is something else."
What an incredible act of kindness. If it wasn't for Tom, who knows what could have happened to Ellie. Please SHARE this with your friends on Facebook, and let's track this hero down!
