The FBI office of Seattle, Washington, confirmed that a missing child from the state has been located unharmed in Missouri. The 8-year-old, Breadson John, was reported missing on June 17, 2022, when detectives responded to calls from concerned community members after the child had not been seen for days.
After conducting a welfare check and trying to contact members of his family, the FBI officially reported him missing.
In January, a missing person flyer was created to help locate the boy, who also goes by “Brxsan.”
He found earlier this month in Jasper, Missouri, according to a statement from the FBI. According to earlier releases, Breadson was said to have ties to Hawaii, Arizona, Washington, and the Truk/Chuuk Islands in the Federated States of Micronesia.
His missing person flyer also noted that he speaks English was well as Chuukese, a native language of Micronesia.
Breadson is currently in the custody of the Department of Social Services in Missouri, according to the FBI.
Officials from child protective services in Washington are working to bring him back home, according to KGW. So far, there is no confirmation on how the boy ended up in Missouri, why he was there, or who he was with.
