Summertime might be my favorite season. The days are longer and the possibility for beach vacations and days laying out by the pool seem endless. Ya, it can get miserably hot, but as long as you have a pool or sprinklers, and don't mind getting a little sweaty, getting to enjoy the outdoors for even a few days can be totally worth it.
The best part about summer though, has to be the poolside barbecues, hands down. Nothing says summer like turning on the grill and throwing on a few burgers or hot dogs that you can munch on while relaxing and getting a tan.
But if you plan on attending or throwing multiple bbq's this summer, you're going to need to switch up the menu from time to time. That's where recipes like the BLT macaroni salad, and walnut Brussels sprouts come in handy, and now this fried veggie app is another you can add to that list.
These fried pickle chips are just unusual enough to get people interested in trying them, and once they do, you might be surprised at how fast they go.
Like we learned with making these homemade mozzarella sticks, good food like cheese and pickles are only made better when you give them a little extra crunch.
Pair them with ranch or mayo and you've got yourself a brand new recipe that screams summertime barbecue!
