At the age of 3, a little girl named Joey Verwey began telling stories so intricate and outlandish, it was hard for her family to believe she concocted them out of her own mind. Joey told her parents these stories came from her previous lives — 10 of them, to be exact. Over the next two years, she was already meeting with professors, reincarnation experts and journalists. Their collective conclusion was that Joey was living proof that reincarnation exists.
In her first life, Joey recalled living as a cave dweller millions of years ago. Incredibly, she was able to lead investigators to South African caves she had never seen before. These were the same caves where Robert Broom discovered a missing link between apes and humans. Joey described her lives with ease and conviction — like life as an Egyptian slave, explaining the galley and ancient road-paving techniques with incredible detail, or as a persecuted Christian during the first century where she may have met St. Peter.
When Joey was five years old, she met with an elderly woman who she claimed was her daughter in a previous life. The child and old woman talked in great length about their past life together — and the woman, who was 90 years old at the time, said she was instantly reminded of her own mother.
