Britain's Got Talent, much like America's Got Talent, is a national showcase for regular folks to show the world what they're good at.
When these five young men get on stage, some nervously giggling, judge Simon Cowell asked, "Is this serious?"
The guys reassure Simon that they're very serious about the performance. They line up in a row. They bow their heads… Then the audience goes crazy.
Sometimes great performers come in unexpected packages, like 11-year-old Asanda Jezile who has the voice of someone well beyond her age, or this shy girl who gets pulled on the dance floor and gives the performance of her life.
When the boys assume their positions, the excitement is palpable — but what they do next is extraordinary.
If anything, they show that everyone should be taken seriously, especially when it comes to what they are passionate about.
The team even got the Golden Buzzer. If you don't know what that means, it's when any judge can decide, even if every other judge disagrees, to let a team move all the way to the semifinals no matter what.
It's a huge shortcut in a really, really difficult competition!
