Marg Allerston-Medeiros recently lost her 86-year-old mother Alma. For the past three months, Marg has been noticing strange activity at her mother's grave.
After leaving flowers and personal momentos, Marg noticed that they would be promptly stolen from the grave.
"As of June 1st, we started planting flowers. If you notice from the picture in the video, the green grasses always get left, and the flowers always get taken and ripped right from the ground, which I have to tell you does leave a big hole when you show up to water those new flowers and they’re gone. It’s happened probably ten or twelve times now," Marg told local London, Ontario news station AM980.ca.
What's even more baffling is that on many occasions Marg has found the flowers in a nearby trash bin. Who would steal flowers from a grave just to throw them away? It seems people these days respect cemeteries less and less, recently an elderly woman was robbed at her own husband's grave.
After setting up a camera, Margwas able to capture footage of this young woman stealing the flowers. However, the camera did not capture the person's face. If you have any information, she hopes that you will send her a private Facebook message here.
"The grieving process has been hell, obviously. Everyone loved her, you know, she was the kind of lady that took you under her wing. I don’t get it," she said. "Now, my husband and I, and sister, we’re not in there [the grave plot] now, but we will be in that plot one day, so our names are there, so I don’t know if it’s a personal attack on one of us three. I just don’t know at this point."
