JJ the German Shepard was chained to a tree for 13 years of his life. Every day, through all kinds of weather, he was stuck there, with his owner never giving a reason or seeming to care. After a good Samaritan stepped in and asked JJ's owner to let him go – which he did – she alerted volunteers at Animal Rescue Families, who quickly worked to find the senior dog a home.
The outpouring of love for this neglected dog was huge, and soon, JJ had found himself a new family to love him!
When the shelter asked why JJ's new family decided to adopt such a senior dog, "they said that they took one look at JJ and knew they wanted to make his remaining time happy and filled with love."
I am so grateful there are people out there who are interested in adopting senior or neglected animals – it's such good thing to do with your time and energy!

Today, JJ can live in peace, and is the happiest he has ever been!
