How do you make a tight space feel airy? Easy. All you need is a little bit of creativity.
Ever since the Tiny House Movement began to pick up steam, more and more people are beginning to scale down their lives, which includes de-cluttering their homes. For instance, do most people really need to hold on to a banana slicer, a hair crimper from 1989, or a Marilyn Monroe Halloween costume for your dog?? No! No one needs any of that stuff in their lives. Its just junk that is taking up space!
Some savvy space-savers are coming up with imaginative innovations like expandable walls that add to square-footage, or sliding pieces of furniture that fit into secret compartments in walls to minimalize their lives.
And these clever home improvement projects are really cool.
For instance, we stumbled upon Reddit user dat_asthma’s project, in which a bedroom is turned into a bedroom/office space by hiding an important piece of furniture in a secret compartment under the floor…
First and foremost, a new level had to be added to the room to create more space.

And tucked into this new level would be something that would really open up space in the room.

A bunch of wiring is added.

The new level is painted. Now it’s time to squeeze something into that hole…

A bed!

How?

Easy!

You take the mattress off its frame…

And slide it into the secret compartment under the new level!

Now you have a space-saving bed!

What sweet dream will you think of next while slumbering on this ingenious bed?

Please SHARE this amazing space-saving idea with everyone you know and help America de-clutter their lives…and imaginations!
