Throw Ice And Salt Into A Stained Coffee Pot To Clean It In Seconds

Ice cubes probably don't serve too much purpose in most people's lives.

They make your drinks colder and possibly soothe your pain, but other than that, what are they good for?

While you might have instinctively just sang, absolutely nothing, that answer is actually false.

We've already shown you how amazing freezing some aloe vera ice cubes can be for sunburn, and how to get yourself a steam drying hack from home, with these frozen cubes, but there are actually a lot more icy fixes you might love too!

Ice cubes can help you with some beauty issues, and even solve some around the house struggles too!

Some of these are so simple, but so many people just never think to do them, or know that they actually work.

So we're here to give you the scoop, hopefully, some of these will be your new favorite DIY trick, and you can share with your friends too!

After all, we all have ice cubes in our houses, right? Let's put them to use!

Surprising Use #1: Cleaning Vases, Bottles, Even Your Coffee Pot

The combination of salt and ice seem to be a better pair than most cleaners apparently.

If you have an old stained coffee pot, a dirty flower vase, or anything of that sort, throw some salt and ice cubes into it and shake it up.

The mixture will get into all of the crevices and clear the glass right up.

Drain it and dry on a drying rack, your glass will look crystal clear!

Surprising Use #2: Fix Your Garbage Disposal

Smelly or dull sink disposal? Say hello to the ice cube fix.

Throw a few ice cubes into the disposal and turn it on with the water running.

This will sharpen the blades and clear out some of the leftover Chinese food you dumped in last week!

Surprising Use #3: Revamp Your Salad Dressing

There's not much better than creamy salad dressing if you ask me, while that might make your salad a bit less healthy, it still does wonders for your taste buds.

But sometimes the creamy can become chunky, or just flat.

In order to make your favorite ranch dressing smooth and crisp again, throw an ice cube into it, shake and serve!

Surprising Use #4: Reheat Your Rice

This is by far the simplest and my absolute favorite. I don't know how I didn't think of this sooner.

Put an ice cube on top of your leftover rice, then place it in the microwave.

Instead of sticky, and not thoroughly cooked rice, you'll get a perfect bowl of a fresh, steamy dinner side ready to go!

Surprising Use #5: Prevent Stains and Wrinkles

If you forget your Tide-To-Go, go grab an ice cube!

Running it along your stain will prevent it from settling into your shirt or pants.

Plus, it works for wrinkles too. An ice cube might be the perfect quick fix after a commute to work that involves some coffee, or food!

Surprising Use #6: Remove Gum, Or Splinters

Splinters are the worst, and I always hated letting my mom tweeze them out as a kid.

Lucky for the next generation, I'm here to tell you ice cubes can help! They'll not only ease your pain but also ease the splinter out if you can get it in the right position.

If you hold the cube on your finger for a few minutes, it will make the finger numb, then you won't even feel your mom's tweezers coming in hot!

Surprising Use #7: Shrink A Pimple

Pimples, everyone's worst nightmare.

You can't pop them if you don't want a scar, but you can shrink them with a frozen cube!

The temperature of the ice will react with your skin and soften and shrink your red spot within minutes.

Surprising Use #8: Tweeze Without Pain

This is one anyone can agree on. Tweezing and plucking hurts, a lot.

The simplest, littlest pinches of pain, can sometimes feel like torture.

But, if you ice your brows or whatever area you're intending on tweezing, you'll numb your skin.

It'll make plucking those stray hairs so much less of a dreaded routine.

Surprising Use #9: Help Your Puffy Eyes

Last but definitely not least, you can fix your puffy eyes!

Everyone has those nights where you can't get enough sleep, drank a bit too much the night before, or just can't seem to get your swelling down.

For those times, an ice cube can be your best friend. The coldness will soothe and shrink the puff and you'll be camera ready within minutes!

All of these simple hacks are so useful, but commonly unheard of. Anyone with a freezer can utilize these DIY home hacks, remember, don't knock it till you try it!
