This North Dakota Town Has One Hugely ADORABLE Crisis…Dog-Sized Jackrabbits!

Fans of the 1996 Coen Brothers film or hit FX show Fargo will know that Fargo, ND is prone to some pretty dark comedy. Recently, the town has begun to face a crisis that is…kind of cute?

Over 50 large jackrabbits have been seen adorably terrorizing the town in yards, schools, developments, and parks.

Residents describe the rabbits as "dog-sized," and while the problem was cute at first, the rabbits are multiplying and devouring lots of local shrubs and flowers, and they are leaving massive amounts of droppings all over the city. It has become positively hare-raising.

Some officials have suggested poisoning the nine-pound animals, but most residents would never want to harm these sweet, cuddly menaces. City officials are meeting to discuss possible ordinances regarding these wild animals and how they can possibly relocate or domesticate them.

Residents of the Dakotas know jackrabbits are as common as kangaroos in Australia — South Dakota State University even proudly uses the jackrabbit as its mascot — but the problem has reached the breaking point for many of its citizens.
