Single Mom Fired Before Her 1st Day Of Work. Why? Look At THIS Facebook Post.

What you write on the internet…stays on the internet.

It's a pretty easy concept that a surprising amount of people just can't seem to remember. While some of us can later laugh about our embarrassing social media missteps, like in this hilarious segment from The Ellen DeGeneres Showa lot of people learn to be careful about what they post online the hard way.

If you have a Facebook page, chances are you've posted, commented, liked, or shared something that you later wanted to take back. We've all been there. But if the wrong person sees something they don't like on your Facebook, like what happened in this job interview prank, sometimes there is a price to pay.

Kaitlyn Walls, a 27-year-old single mother from The Colony, TX, is making headlines around the country after she was fired from a job before she even started. The reason? One careless mistake on Facebook that has everyone torn. After securing a much-needed job at a local daycare center, Walls posted on her Facebook page "I start my new job today, but I absolutely hate working at day care. Lol, it’s all good, I just really hate being around a lot of kids."

Although the single mother of a young girl said she wasn't trying to offend anyone and didn't mean what she posted, she was overwhelmed by the hateful comments that came her way. However, the insults were the least of her troubles, as her new employers caught wind of the post and took back their job offer. Walls said she regretted the post and later wrote on Facebook, “Oh man I made a big mistake. I’m so sad. I feel like a failure here looking at my daughter crying because I’m afraid that I’m not going to be able to find a job because of my own stupidity.”

What do you think? Did Walls deserve to get fired for her mistake, or does she deserve a second chance?
