Tourists on the Kruger Park safari got a wild encounter during a recent visit, getting up close and personal with a lion pride and their adorable little cubs.
The amazing footage, which was posted to Kruger Sightings' YouTube channel, shows the lions relaxing and playing in the road near Lower Sabie in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. By the looks of it, these majestic creatures don't even seem to mind the humans watching them from afar.
The cute lion cubs are so playful, as their mom looks over them with a watchful eye. I have to admit, I held my breath for a minute, unsure of how these fierce creatures would react to seeing humans. But, these sweet cats are so adorable, you almost forget they're wild animals!
As anyone on a safari knows, seeing these beautiful mammals up close is sure to be the highlight of the trip! (See more of their latest sightings here.)
At Kruger Park, there are almost 150 species of mammal and more than 500 bird species. This gives park goers the chance to see hundreds of animals, including the "Big Five," which consists of the lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo.
