Mom And Stepdad Of 11-Year-Old Madalina Cojocari Didn’t Report Her Missing For 3 Weeks

A missing child is always a heartbreaking situation. Authorities continue to work on a North Carolina case, seeking answers for the whereabouts of 11-year-old Madalina Cojocari.

A new development in this case is the arrest of her mother, Diana Cojocari, and stepfather, Christopher Palmiter, for failing to report her missing. They are currently being held at the Mecklenburg County Detention Center. On Saturday, December 17, 2022, the Cornelius Police Department announced this update in the case.

Madalina went missing on November 23. She was last seen at her house. Her mother and stepfather waited until December 15 to report her missing to her school. Three weeks is an awfully long time to wait.

Police continue to search for Madalina. They are seeking public assistance and ask anyone with information to come forward. “We need to make certain we have spoken to every person who may have information about Madalina to help us create an exact timeline of when she was last seen,” police stated.

Madalina was last seen wearing jeans, a white T-shirt, jacket, and pink, purple, and white Adidas shoes. She is in sixth grade and has brown hair and brown eyes. She is 4 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 90 pounds. Anyone with any information should contact the Cornelius Police Department at 704-892-7773.
