Man Sees His Face On ‘Missing’ Poster & Finds Out He May Have Been Targeted By Kidnappers

Let’s be honest, kids can be jerks sometimes. One of the biggest jerky moves is older siblings telling their younger ones that they were adopted instead of born into the family. It’s a game most of us outgrow by the time we’ve left elementary school. The young siblings catch on and learn the truth eventually.

But one grown man recently learned something about himself that left him with a lot of questions. He took the people of TikTok along for the ride.

It all began when Adrian opened a file of paperwork from his youth. He was looking for his birth certificate because he wanted to apply for his passport. Inside the folder, he found a flyer for a missing child. The image on the flyer was a picture of him. The thing is, Adrian doesn’t remember a time when he was missing.

He asked TikTok: “When the hell did I go missing?! And why was I never told?” To make a strange story even more perplexing, the name on the flyer was not his.

The flyer included a message from the family to the missing boy. “Come home soon Jorge. We all love you and want you home safe.” Sounding nervous and a bit concerned, Adrian concluded that he needed to call his mom. When he did, his mother told him that everything was a “huge misunderstanding.” She told him he may have been used by kidnappers who were targeting him.

His mom told him they posted his photo instead of the real Jorge Gimenez. In the middle of this video, Adrian remembered that his older brothers used to tell him that he was adopted … or abducted. He couldn’t remember.

Adrian’s followers weren’t entirely convinced. And they weren’t afraid to share their doubts.

“Have you seen your birth certificate?????” one user asked.

“Denial is the first stage,” another said. “You’ll get through this Jorge.”

“Your Netflix gonna be wild,” another joked.

Someone else asked for the rest of the story. “Can you update us when you meet your real parents?” they wrote.

With so much doubt from the comments section, Adrian decided he needed to do some more investigating. He went to the police station to determine the whereabouts of Jorge Gimenez. They didn’t find anything. So then he went back to his mom. When he called the number on the flyer, it was already in his phone — it belongs to his aunt. That’s when his mom admitted that it was a prank.

“Bro they got me so good … they got us so good,” Adrian said holding his head. He said in his family, everyone plays jokes like crazy, and the whole group was in on it.

Adrian said he wasn’t really trippin’ because he has younger photos than the one on the flyer with the family he knows. “I’m a grown man,” Adrian said. “I don’t live with my family no more.”

Still, he feels a sense of relief. He ended the video vowing to get his mom back. “She went too far,” he said smiling.
