Joshua Bisnar, a Naval Hospital Corpsman, was raking the grounds at his Marine Corps base when he discovered a small hole with the four bunnies inside. He picked them up and put them into a box cushioned with old shirts, and secretly kept them in his barracks. Luckily, he did not get caught with them!
This incredible hero then researched how to care for the animals, and hand-fed them from bottles until they could eat solid food. When they began jumping out of the box two months later, he took them to the Wetlands and Wildlife Care in Huntington, CA, where they were raised before heading back into the wild! WOW!
“It was a lot of hard work, but I loved the bunnies.” He even gave them names: Steven, Raymond, Vaughn and James. ADORABLE!!
