You can find zoos in just about any city in the world. They are a great place to visit with kids and friends when it's nice outside and you want to soak up some sunshine, they're typically inexpensive, and they are always a blast!
Some zoos allow you to drive through and see animals in their natural habitats, similar to going on your own personal safari; while the most standard zoos are the ones you can walk through, pushing a stroller or just walking at a leisurely pace.
The best kinds of zoos, however, are the ones that are interactive. Allowing you to touch, feed and play with animals you would never see in day-to-day life (unless you work at an exotic pet store) can be an awesome experience.
Rather than staring through the glass trying to get a good look at a wild animal, something that occasionally works out really well, like when one man got as close as possible to a lion that he could without actually jumping a fence or two, petting zoos are a great way to bond with baby animals and adults alike.
This lucky zoo visitor won over the heart of a very cool kangaroo when she shared her lunch with him, and now we are planning out our next zoo day!
