Ol Red Lane has lived a very interesting life so far. He's been a billboard-topping musician, a frequent airplane flier, a skilled airplane mechanic, and, on top of it all, he has achieved his ultimate dream by living in one of the oddest homes you could possibly think of.
Ol Red lives in an old DC-8 jet airplane A few years back, he noticed that the old plane was up for sale. After spending a cool $100,000 for the beautiful machine, he had to find a way to ship it back home to Ashland City, TN.
It's a shame he couldn't buy an airline ticket to fly his new home-plane back home; and the shipping and handling for such a large package UPS or FedEx would have been outrageous!
He had to cut the plane into five separate pieces, fit them on five flat-bed trucks, and could only transport the giant plane at night. But, after 28 days of hard work, Ol Red finally had his home.
After a few decor changes, Ol Red has built his dream house. Day or night, the avid flyer is always in an airplane.
