When traveling, some people put a lot of thought (and money) into 4-star hotels and special resorts. But for me, an exciting trip and the special memories I make are way more important than a fancy hotel.
That's why I was so excited when I saw this special Airbnb rental. After spending hours traveling on the road, it would be amazing to curl up here and watch the stars overhead. This is no cookie-cutter hotel room; this beautiful house is an experience of its own.
What's more, guests are welcomed into the main house to share meals and trade stories with the homeowners, Guzel and Gidget. Not only can you bunk here during your travel, but you can make new friends and special memories.

In Santa Monica, CA, there sits a special little house that has to be seen to be believed.
Dubbed Mela — the Italian word for "apple" — this tiny home definitely lives up to its name.
This spherical home can be rented by the week or month — but spend one night here, and you might not want to ever leave.
Technically considered a POD — or "Portable Outdoor Dwelling" — this cozy home features 2 beds, 1 bathroom, and natural overhead lighting.
As it's intended for travelers and guests, the Mela sits within the backyard garden of a full-sized house.
Guests are invited into the home where they'll find a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and new friends with whom they can share a meal.
Within the Mela, guests can either sleep on the ground-level bed, or in the loft bed above.
In the loft, they'll have a beautiful view of the lovely night sky above.
After a long day at the nearby beach, I imagine this is quite the cozy little bed.
