This fawn was discovered on the side of a highway with two broken front legs. Although he was left for dead, a caring animal lover picked up the deer and decided to get it immediate medical attention. Although the deer was forced to have one of his legs amputated, the young woman nursed the deer back to health before trying to find him a good home.
Although no one wanted the fawn at first, Earthfire Institute: Wildlife Sanctuary and Retreat Center in Idaho were happy to give the rescued deer a place to call home. At the animal center, the deer has learned to run and play, even earning him the nickname "Runs-Like-the-Wind." Despite having three legs, this little deer can get around fast!
