In a quirky new campaign for The Body Shop, we get an insider’s look at the fumbling and bumbling of a Mother’s Day spread for the Queen Mother herself, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. And this video would certainly have you believe that the royal family and crew are no different than your average family, complete with inside jokes and the whole shebang.
Whether it’s getting soaked while giving the royal corgis a bath, picking out a hilarious card for the occasion, or making a royal breakfast, this video runs us through the whole goofy process of ensuring that a perfect Mother’s Day is carried out, albeit with a few bumps along the way. Even Prince Harry makes an appearance in the spoof!
Now, the people we see in the video are actually just actors — it’s difficult to see how any ad campaign would be able to get a shot of Prince Harry headed for a day of poolside lounging with a bottle of champagne in tow. But the video’s message is clear: Treat your mom like a queen this Mother’s Day.
