NASA Recorded Planet Earth Making Beautiful Music

Though Ham radio operators have been listening to these sounds for years, it wasn't until NASA scientists recorded it from space that we truly got to hear how beautifully the Earth can sing! That's right, our planet Earth has an amazing voice, and when you point your microphones toward it you can capture some truly beautiful and eerie sounds.

Called "Chorus," this phenomenon is caused by the plasma waves whipping around in Earth's radiation belts. Listening to this breathtaking "song" sounds like something directly out of a Stanley Kubrick film, and after listening to the crooning song of our planet, you'll easily begin to wonder if there is potential intelligence hidden deep inside our planetary body.

Scientists are still investigating "Chorus" and after some initial testing they're beginning to think it may be responsible for the "killer electrons," which have been known to endanger astronauts in space. While these radiation waves are usually harmless, sometimes the electrons can catch a "Chorus" wave and become potentially deadly to any astronaut or satellite who gets hit with these blasts of energy.

While we're still in the process of understanding what these incredible sounds are and where exactly they're coming from, one thing is for certain: they're absolutely stunning to listen to. In spite of the science, our small planet still has a lot of mystery surrounding it!

What do you think of these beautiful "sounds" from Mother Earth? Let us know in the comments below! We think someone should make a song using these as the chorus!

And please SHARE this amazing song if you love our home planet!
