A Baby Penguin Named Snow Chick Doesn’t Ever Want To Leave Dad’s Pouch

Growing up is never easy, but it's a different experience for everyone. Were you one of the kids at preschool who ran right off into the classroom without giving Mom or Dad a second glance? Or was saying goodbye the hardest thing you'd ever done?

The same goes for being a parent… some moms and dads are happy to let their little ones off to grow and learn separately from them, while others never want to let go!

Snow Chick, a tiny, fluffy baby penguin, really didn't want to leave his father's pouch. After all, he did spend his entire incubation period cozied up in the warmth of Dad's brood pouch. It's understandable that it could be hard for some penguin chicks to move one.

But there comes a time in every penguin chick's life when he must move on from the warmth of his father's pouch to the warmth of his peers. Not because Dad doesn't love him anymore… but simply because there is no room! When Snow Chick finally realizes it's his turn to move on… he has a little trouble at first, shivering out in the cold. However, once he figures out how the whole thing works? This is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen.

I'm sure this transition wasn't easy for Poppa, either!
