After this Osprey was found drowning and near death, a few Good Samaritans brought him to the Gold Country Wildlife Rescue for rehabilitation. Through steady care and a diet of nutritious, locally caught trout, which a bunch of volunteers helped catch, and Osprey was soon well enough to fly again!
Thirty minutes after the rescue team set him free, it seemed as though the bird returned, flying overheard, almost to say thank you. The team couldn't be one hundred percent sure this was the same bird they had just rescued, but it seems likely, and also magical!
Animals truly know how to say thank you!
