They say dogs are man’s best friend, but that does not mean you should share toys with them. A Texas teen figured out this life lesson the hard way while messing around.
In Montgomery, Texas, Mary Serrano caught her teenage son Jonathan on video in an ER, squeaking as he took in air. She is heard saying someone told her to record it for Jonathan’s future children. Thankfully it was a silly situation and Jonathan could not stop laughing about the squeaks. Maybe his future kids will learn from his mistake.
But how did Jonathan end up with a dog toy squeaker inside him in the first place? His mom says he was chewing on the dog toy to annoy her. She made a fake swatting motion to dissuade him. He ducked, and in the process accidentally swallowed the squeaker.
Jonathan had to go to two different ERs to get medical attention. He eventually had the item removed at Conroe Regional Hospital. Doctors had to use a scope to get it out.
While Jonathan seems in good spirits in the video, his actions did have consequences. He missed out on something he was looking forward to. Mary told Storyful: "Long story short, this was not fun for him because he missed a very important camping trip with Boy Scouts that he was very much looking forward to.”
