The one thing that's better than eating a bunch of Halloween candy, is getting the chance to give away tons of candy treats to all the kids in their adorable costumes from the neighborhood.
But some people either have Halloween parties to go to, or they're away for the night, so they have to miss out on seeing all of those great costumes! However, just because you aren't there, it doesn't mean you can't give away some candy for all the kids!
Those people put their faith in the good of humanity, and to make things even better, it gives little kids the opportunity to "make the right choice." They'll leave a big bowl of candy, and tell the kids just to take a few candy treats for themselves. While these children would certainly love to take all of the candy in that beautiful bowl, just about every single time they'll do the right thing and just take a few pieces so the next group can enjoy candy for themselves.
But unfortunately, it seems that one house learned that while they could trust the local children, there was a local woman who had no qualms with taking everything!
While it's easy to be angry at this woman for stealing all of the candy that wasn't hers, we should all maybe take a moment to wonder why she felt so comfortable taking it all. It's easy to be mad at her, but perhaps she might actually have a problem, like the woman who was caught "addicted to stealing," there might be something deeper here that is well worth discussing.
Something like this could have happened to someone we all know. Hopefully she comes back with the candy and asks for forgiveness! No matter what, we certainly hope all the neighborhood kids had a good Halloween, even though they had less candy!
