10 Things You Should Know About Waffle House Before Taking Another Bite

As someone who grew up in the Northeast, I didn't know what a Waffle House was until I went on a family vacation south. I had no clue that it was such a massively popular place — and was thrilled when I finally got to sit down to enjoy my first Waffle House waffle.

Now, years later, Waffle House is just as popular and the waffles are just as good. But for all of the Waffle House regulars, there are quite a few secrets that most people have never heard before.

After reading some of these, I won't be looking at these restaurants the same again. For example, I had no idea that the Waffle House test kitchen experiments with new breakfast dishes that aren't even on the normal menu — but they're only served at certain locations. I want to try out the new stuff before everyone else does!
