When these two kayakers off the coast of Puerto Madryn in Argentina spotted a few whales surfacing, they decided to get a closer look. While most wildlife experts would probably advise against trying to get as close as this, these two decided they wanted that perfect picture, and ended up getting more than they bargained for!
These two got so close that the whales ended up lifting their kayak out of the water! The way one of the whales seemed to pause with the boat on its back makes me think that the whales were almost playing with them – which is fun in one way, but when you're playing with an animal that much bigger than you, things could turn scary at any moment!
These kayakers are lucky they encountered such gentle giants! At least they got some amazing footage of one of the ocean's most beautiful creatures!
