A giraffe on hunger strike. Seals scared of their doctor's appointments. And a tegu with high anxiety… watch one man solve all of these animal issues.
Dr. Vint Vigra is an animal behaviorist and veterinarian who has one of the world's most interesting jobs: He goes from zoo to zoo, helping animals who seem to be unhappy or stressed. Likened to Dr. Dolittle, Vigra is able to observe animals who have seemingly emotionally-rooted problems, and provide ways to make them more comfortable, thus lessening their stress levels and improving their lives completely.
Vigra says that animals living in zoos have different stressors than the same species living out in the wild, and he sees it as his job to help stimulate them and calm them, allowing them to be happy — even in their manufactured environments.
While zoos are definitely not my favorite thing, I'm glad there is someone like Vint Vigra out there who is dedicated to making these animals as happy as possible! Please SHARE!
