We can't go back in time and change history, but this video is a wonderful reminder that it's never too late to try to make up for wrongdoings. There is a sad, but true secret in US history that when many Vietnam Veterans returned home after the war, they were not welcomed or honored.
One Kentucky base in particular was socially ostracized when they returned home. Widows of deceased soldiers received late-night harassing phone calls and many of the men were stereotyped and demonized by people against the war. It has been said that at no point in our nation's history have our veterans been more hurt by their own countrymen than by the enemy. In this video, the surviving members of that Kentucky base finally received the honor they have been waiting for.
