It can be so frustrating to open up a package of food from the grocery store and find that it's inedible in some way.
I know when this happens to me I always get so annoyed that I didn't simply pick up the package next to the one I ended up buying.
What were the chances that I chose the damaged item?
But, instead of getting annoyed, some people handle this situation in an incredible way.
We all saw what happened when a man found a worm on his cucumber, but what about this woman who found a worm in her lettuce?
Needless to say, she wasn't pleased. But she chose to go with humor rather than anger in her Facebook complaint to Sainsbury's, the supermarket where she bought the lettuce.
And, boy, are we glad she did!
The exchange between the woman, Leila Jane Daly, and the customer service representative, Ross, is absolutely hilarious!

Sainsbury's customer Leila Jane Daly was left less than impressed after she went to prepare a delicious salad only to find a worm in the lettuce. She quickly wrote a hilarious Facebook complaint to the store's account letting them know about her new worm friend.

Daly was sure to include some photo evidence of the worm in her post, along with a picture of her displeased expression. It wasn't long before a Sainsbury's employee, Ross, got back to Daly with an incredible response.

Ross empathized with the worm and went along with a joke that Daly made about "getting fat" because she had to eat a hamburger rather than the salad she'd prepared. But, he noted, how hard could it be to keep a worm as a pet?

Daly considered Ross' offerings and went more in depth on the living situation of the worm, now named Jackie Chan. Apparently he was released into the garden and went on to terrorize the neighbor's dog.

Ross proved to be good for his word when, the very next day, Daly received two letters in the mail. One, addressed to Jackie Chan, which served as a goodbye from Ross to the worm and included a gift card for Netflix (which Jackie Chan was advised to pass on to his new owner), and another addressed to Daly with her gift card — with some extra money added for a fresh, worm-free batch of lettuce.

Daly posted a photo of the letters to show just how cute they actually are. Ross sure is one awesome customer service rep!
