You've just finished a hard day at work and suddenly realize you have some free time to yourself. It seems like it's been months, or even years since you've had some peace and quiet!
You turn on the TV and it's all bad news. More bad guys are upset about something, the stock market is fluctuating, and Brian Williams was caught in yet another lie. Disgusted, you turn your T.V. off and decide to pick up your Kindle and start searching for a good read. You can't believe how lucky you are: all of your cute animals are quietly sleeping rooms away, and no one is home!
You finally find a story you'd like to read. You get through the first few sentences — when suddenly you feel a cold and wet…nose…touching your hand.
You look down, and it's your trusty canine companion; and like it or not, your dog is demanding attention. Your pooch squeaks once or twice before you finally resign yourself to play with the poor thing. You close your Kindle, and start petting your dog.
