Florida Woman Who Spent Time Volunteering At Animal Shelter Was Mauled To Death By Dog

A Florida woman who dedicated her time to helping out a local animal shelter and loved rescue dogs is being mourned after she was attacked by a dog and killed.

Pam Robb was spending time volunteering at 100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida, Inc. in Oakland Park on February 17, 2022. While helping a large mixed-breed dog at the facility, two women were attacked. Police later confirmed that Pam was the woman who died as a result of the attack.

"She wasn't just doing, she was being – she was being Pam Robb, a wonderful giving, caring person," her wife and partner of 25 years, Angie Anobile, said of Pam's death.

"She had a love for those animals, she really did, and they responded very well to her," Angie continued.

"This was just a fluke accident. No one did anything out of the ordinary."

The dog, Gladys, had come to the shelter earlier in the month. Staff had documented their difficulties with the abused dog, who has been euthanized as a result of this incident.

"Since we have had her in the house, she is good with certain people. She is not good with others," the shelter said in a February 5 video shared on social media.

"She has got tremendous, tremendous fear … She has got some fear issues … It might be out of our hands, a little over our heads."

The shelter released a statement following the incident.

"Our Hearts are Broken for our Dear Friend Pam. Our deepest condolences to her family & friends," they shared.

"We are All grieving & ask for you to please give us time to process this great misfortune & loss of our Dear friend. We thank you for your love & patience."
