If you own a horse right now, you're probably dealing with that lovely time of the year when your beloved companion is shedding enough hair to make yourself a new sweater. While most of us will be slaving away with brushes and shedding blades, the owners of this fuzzy pony are getting their workload lessened thanks to two funny birds: These feathered fellows have hit the jackpot when it comes to nest-building material, which is funny in and of itself — but it's the pony's couldn't-care-less attitude that has me in stitches!
Animal fur is ideal material for crafting nests and, as this sleepy dog learned firsthand, many birds have no problem taking it directly from the source. From the looks of this pony's coat, these crows will have enough fur to build a few birdie mansions! There's no doubt that the little guy's owners appreciate the extra help, but I can't imagine what he must be thinking. Since ponies are known for their spunk, I'm kind of surprised that this one was so welcoming to his winged visitors. After seeing how these two little ones reacted to an unwanted guest, I was a little concerned for the birds' safety! Luckily, this seems to be a mutually beneficial relationship, and both pony and birds get to go home happy and hairy.
After being covered in hair after brushing my horse, I'd love to have a few of these guys around to give me a hand…or a beak. What funny little helpers they are!
