In January, superstar singer Céline Dion suffered a major tragedy in her life: her husband and manager, René Angélil, passed away after battling throat cancer for three years.
After suffering for so long, the mom and her three children were saddened, yet at peace, when they finally laid him down in his final resting place.
Then, her brother passed away from a similar cancer to that of her husband's.
Since then, life has changed for the singer in many ways. She won the Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards, presented to her by her 15-year-old son. She has also performed several times, appropriately singing "The Show Must Go On" at the same event.
But perhaps the biggest change was in her role as a mother. In a Today show interview with Matt Lauer, she explains how not having the love her life and the father of her children around has changed parenting. Though she and her children were grieving, they have each been pillars of strength for the others. This is how Céline says she is able to inspire others to power through their tough times, too!
Her fans have also played a huge hand in her life, especially since the tragedy. She has touched so many lives by being an open book in her songs, and in return, they have blessed her in the most amazing ways…
Now watch the clip to hear more of Céline's take on motherhood after her husband's death.
