Sometimes, we see things and think we know what they are without really thinking about it.
I've definitely looked at signs and assumed they said one thing, when in reality they said something totally different. I've also mistaken people's identities, seeing one person and calling them the wrong person's name, which is never a good feeling.
When one mom noticed something brown curled up under a seat at a restaurant, she assumed it was a sweet, sleeping dachshund.
Hannah Murphy, her daughter, posted about it on Twitter, saying that her mom couldn't stop giggling at the little dachshund. But Hannah didn't see the same thing as her mom.
That's because it wasn't a dachshund sleeping under the chair — it was just a brown purse.
Hannah took a picture to show Twitter what her mom mistook as a dog, and I have to say, I see it too.

This is Hannah Murphy. She was at a restaurant with her mom when her mom started giggling at something a few tables away.
This is the scene Hannah's mom couldn't stop giggling at. Hannah couldn't see anything out of the ordinary — can you? When she asked, Hannah's mom told her that the cute dachshund sleeping beneath a chair was making her laugh.
Hannah didn't see a dachshund — but when she took a closer look, she realized what her mom was looking at. A brown purse placed on the ground looked just like a dog all curled up to sleep.
Hannah uploaded an image of the scene to Twitter, and thousands of people saw it. Some thought it was funny, while others totally related.
Hannah got a good laugh out of her mom's mistake, but she's not the only one who's done this. Twitter user TheBrandonLeigh replied to her tweet, saying he once mistook this bag as a dog sitting upright at an airport bar.
Another Twitter user, RumorHasItTunes, made the same mistake as Hannah's mom. When he wasn't wearing his glasses he mistook the barbecue setup shown above to be a group of people kneeling down to pet a dog.
Hannah's mother may have made a funny mistake, but she seems like a pretty cool lady. According to her Twitter, Hannah's mom used to be in an all-mom band called The Blues Mothers. You can check out their music here.
