Those of us with pets would do anything for our furry friends. We form such a special bond with the dogs, cats, and even birds and reptiles we rescue, and it seems at times that we know them as well as our human family members. We read their moods as if they were our own, and they seem to know when we are not doing well, too.
Jade Ambrose treasures her Staffordshire bull terrier, Lola, and treats her like she is her own child. Ambrose adopted Lola when she was 20 weeks pregnant, not long after she discovered she was pregnant.
The timing could not be more perfect. Just a few weeks later, at 33 weeks pregnant, Ambrose was rushed to the hospital, possibly suffering a miscarriage. And the only way she knew was because of the pup's unbelievable actions. Had Lola not warned Ambrose about the state of her baby, she would have slept through the ordeal and subsequently lost her baby.

Jade Ambrose considers her and her family extremely lucky, not just because they are happy with a new, healthy baby, but also because she knows that her adopted Staffordshire bull terrier is looking out for all of them!

Ambrose discovered she was pregnant when she was 20 weeks along.

Soon after, she adopted Lola, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The pup warmed up to Ambrose and her family quickly, even licking the mom's belly when her baby would kick.

Then, at 33 weeks pregnant, Lola started barking in the middle of the night, waking her up.

She thought she was barking at something outside, but then went to the bathroom.

That's when she saw that not only did her water break while she was asleep, but that she was also losing blood.

Abromse rushed to the hospital, where doctors were able to prevent a miscarriage.

Eight weeks later, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Oliver, via C-section! If Lola had not woken her up, she says she would not have woken up and surely lost her baby.
