Rebecca and David's decades-spanning love story is like something out of a movie.
The California couple's tale went gone viral after Rebecca's photographer friend shared images of the two posing for a unique (and hilarious!) photo shoot with their adult son.
Duffi Crowson of Chaotic Perfection Photography shared the story behind her lifelong pal Rebecca's "off the wall request" for a newborn photo shoot — with 21-year-old Clayton. Needless to say, this is definitely a one-of-a-kind family with an excellent sense of humor!
The funny pictures were picked up by Love What Matters, which shared their story on August 9, 2017. Since posting, the photos have been shared nearly 1,300 times and have gotten over 800 comments. Though some commenters were confused about what exactly was going on in the "weird" images, the story behind them is actually incredibly heartwarming.

Rebecca Jensvold Hayes and David Ward dated when they were teenagers.
The two were high school sweethearts. At the time Rebecca fell pregnant with their baby, she was only a sophomore.
Rebecca and David ended their relationship before Clayton was born in December 1995.
They went their separate ways and lived completely separate lives, only interacting when it came to their shared son.
But something unexpected happened that led Rebecca and David to reconnect when their son was grown.
The photographer who captured their family's photos explained:
Rebecca and I have know each other since we were 5 years old. We grew up in church together and then went to high school together.
When we were sophomores, she got pregnant.
I still remember her telling me during history class, and I accused her of lying/joking and didn't believe her until she showed me her ultrasound.
By the time her son was born, her and her boyfriend had broken up.
She moved on, eventually got married, moved back East, and had another son.
A few years ago, her hubby passed away, so she moved back home to be closer to her family, as well as her oldest son's father and family.
Tragically, her son’s father lost his wife to cancer.
They had texts, phone calls and long talks over coffee about ridiculous things people say and what it feels like to be in the horrible club of the widowed.
That high school romance from 24 years ago rekindled but has grown into something completely new, completely different.
They miss and love their spouses and will always love them.
So this… this is scary and wonderful and crazy… but real. It's life. It's Chaotic Perfection.
One of her regrets from when they had their son all those years ago, was they never took newborn photos, as mom, dad and baby.
So here they are… mom and dad…. With their 21 year old "newborn" son!
