Having the talk about "the birds and the bees" can be a challenge for any parent, but it gets even more complicated when your child has two moms. When 7-year-old Sophia finally got curious as to how she came into the world, her moms explained the process of sperm donation in a surprisingly age-appropriate way. Then, Sophia decided that she should teach everyone about how two moms can have a baby! The result is a biology lesson that is just too cute for words.
I love how Sophia explains this process in such a simple way! It's clear that her mommies really taught her well. Just like this little girl who doesn't understand why girls are only supposed to buy pink toys, this 7-year-old is clearly wise beyond her years. Her parents are obviously raising a smart kid, and best of all, they're teaching her that it's perfectly OK to ask questions. Just like this tiny little girl who got an anatomy lesson from a very big dog, Sophia loves learning about the world around her…and best of all, she loves to teach everyone else, too!
While some people might be concerned about Sophia learning this lesson at such a young age, I think her moms explained everything to her perfectly. The more risqué aspects of making a baby will surely be taught to her when she's a bit older, but I don't think there's anything wrong with learning the basic biology of where we come from. Bravo to these wonderful parents for raising such a bright and curious young lady!
