Brazilian Soccer Star ‘Hulk’ Reveals He’s Expecting A Child With His Ex-Wife’s Niece

Brazilian soccer player Givanildo Vieira de Sousa, known as "Hulk," is going to be a dad for the fourth time.

The circumstances around the new addition are admittedly a little unusual. Hulk is expecting his fourth child with his second wife, 32-year-old Camila Sousa. Camila married Hulk in 2020, just one year after he announced he was divorcing his first wife, Iran Angelo. Hulk and Iran, who is Camila's aunt, were married for 12 years.

During those 12 years, Camila regarded Hulk as her uncle, which left many unsettled by their decision to marry and now have a baby. In addition to being siblings, Hulk's three children with Iran will also be cousins of the new addition.

Hulk shared his excitement for his upcoming baby in an Instagram post revealing the news to fans. "Today with a heart full of gratitude to GOD, I come to share with you that for the fourth time I am being blessed with another child," the Europa League-winner wrote in Portuguese.

"My heart overflows with so much happiness and I can only say thank you GOD."

"We are already looking forward to receiving you, child, we love you unconditionally," he continued.

"Come full of health, my baby."

Hulk, who got his nickname for his resemblance to Lou Ferrigno, was married to Iran Angelo for 12 years until their divorce in 2019. At the end of the year, just months after going public with the news, he revealed he and Camila, who is Iran's niece, were dating.

Hulk has spoken out on accusations that he and Iran had a hand in "raising" Camila. He also says his first marriage wasn't based on love.

"My marriage didn't come about for love, passion, nothing, it was an accident of you getting pregnant with Ian. And I took it. From the moment I started dating you, I started supporting you and your entire family," he said of Iran in an interview with Quem.

"Camila was never the pivot of separation. I never had a relationship with Camila when I was married," he continued.

"I'm a man. I wasn't happy in my marriage. I had many reasons. I spent my entire marriage betraying Iran, I lived a single life. She knew very well and just wanted to have the status of wife of the Hulk."

Before he went public with the news, Hulk addressed it with his family, including his three children: Ian, Thiago, and Alice.

"Hulk called the parents and the brother of Camila and told them the truth," his spokesperson said, per the Daily Mail.

"It was Hulk himself who made the information public because he had nothing to hide. His position is transparency and he wants to avoid lies and malicious comments."
