On May 1, 2023, Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce from Kevin Costner, citing "irreconcilable differences." Things were messy until September when the exes were finally able to come to a settlement agreement. It now appears that Christine has moved on romantically as well.
A source close to Christine opened up to People magazine and confirmed that she is dating financier Josh Connor. The pair started out as friends. Sparks reportedly flew because they have much in common as divorced parents.
Josh and Christine met because he was her and Kevin’s former neighbor. “Josh was initially just a friend,” the source explained. She loves being with him. “He is a divorced dad and understands what she’s been going through. They both love the ocean and beach life. It’s something that makes Christine happy," the source added.
Josh’s name came up during Christine and Kevin’s child support proceedings in August 2023. At the time, Christine’s attorney John Rydell maintained the pair were just friends. It is unclear when that friendship turned into something more as one source told People that Christine and Josh have been dating “since she split from Kevin.”

Christine and Kevin first met on the golf course when she was just 18 years old and he was married to his first wife Cindy Silva. They started dating six years later but broke up in 2003 when Kevin revealed he didn’t want any more kids. Kevin changed his mind and the couple married in 2004. They share three children, Cayden Wyatt, 16, Hayes Logan, 14, and Grace Avery, 13.
Christine and Josh have been seen out and about together. On Friday, January 12, 2024, she dropped him off at his home in Montecito, California. The Daily Mail published photos of this event. Josh had a suitcase.
In July, TMZ published photos of Christine, Josh, and her kids on vacation in Hualalai, Hawaii. This vacation was also brought up during the child support proceedings. Christine testified that Josh paid for the vacation but she slept in another room. She stated he was not her boyfriend at the time.
