Khloé Kardashian is leaning on her mom during another difficult turn in her relationship with Tristan Thompson.
Tristan recently came forth to confirm that he is the father of Maralee Nichols' son, as she previously claimed. He also took the opportunity to publicly apologize to Khloé, with whom he shares 3-year-old daughter True. Khloé and Tristan were publicly dating at the time that he fathered this child, around his 30th birthday in March 2021.
Khloé and Tristan are believed to have split in May, though rumors indicate he's still lurking around. While working through the news surrounding all of this going public, Khloé has relied on the support of momager Kris Jenner.
After admitting to fathering a child outside of his relationship with Khloé, Tristan apologized to her in his post.
"Khloé, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years," he wrote.
"My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."
Since then, sources have indicated Khloé is accepting the news and looking to just move forward with her life.
"She wants the new year to be different. She wants to focus on her own happiness," the source told People.
"But her family knows that she will meet the right guy when she is ready."
Everyone has been rallying around Khloé through this recent heartbreak.
"It's hard for her family when she is upset. They love her so much," the source noted.
"Khloé is such a strong person though. She has already moved on after finding out that Tristan was expecting another baby."
The process of moving forward has been harder than Khloé imagined. In this time, she's found a lot of comfort in leaning on mom Kris Jenner.
"She's leaning heavily on Kris all of the time," another source told People.
"But Kris wants Khloé and Tristan to be in a good place so she's encouraging Khloé to keep the lines of communication open."
"Khloé is really struggling with what's happening with Tristan," the source continued.
"This time that he was unfaithful has been much harder than the previous times. She really wants the relationship to work and she has been devastated."
"[Khloé] wanted the fairytale life with him and she's so upset," the source added.
"People around her have never seen her so down and are so thankful she has her mother there who has barely left her side."
