The best day of Kilee Manulak's life could have so easily become the worst. During the week of her wedding, Kilee got a text message from the groom. It said he didn't want to marry her, that after two years of being engaged it was over. Kilee was distraught; the man she thought was going to spend her life with didn't even have the courage to break up with her in person.
“I just kind of went numb,” Kilee told WFLA. “My maid of honor, my mom, and all my friends just helped me… I was just so devastated.”
She spent the next few days dealing with the unbearable sadness, then she did something amazing: She and her bridesmaids dressed up in their wedding outfits, Kilee wore her stunning wedding dress. They got together and went to the Color Fun Fest in Tampa, Florida. What they did next will stun many. Like "jilted bride" Shelby Swink, Kilee and her bridesmaids totally destroyed their dresses.
“I don’t want a pity party. I just want to have fun with it," she says. Instead of remembering her wedding day as one filled with heartache, she turned it around into the day she found the inner strength to go on. As for her ex, well she has some pretty wise words for him.
“I definitely want to tell him thank you for sparing me heartaches down the road, and thank you for letting me go so I can find true happiness,” Kilee said.
