They Asked This Girl To Sing A Gospel Song. Instead, She Left Them SPEECHLESS!

Before today, I had never heard Kurt Bestor's powerful song "Prayer of the Children."

According to the American keyboardist and composer's blog, he wrote this song while living in the former country of Yugoslavia during the 1970s on a religious mission. During his time in the country, he witnessed war and other unforgettable social problems like poverty, homelessness, and starvation.

He also witnessed the children of this country feeling lost, confused, and scared. He wrote the song for these children who had no voice, but he'd never intended to publish it. Then, in 1994, Bestor decided to perform his beautiful song during a concert and was shocked by how it hushed the crowd. The rest, as they say, is history!

Fast-forward more than 20 years later and the song has made a comeback. Only this time, we see the amazingly talented, 12-year-old Lexi Walker bring down the house when she sings it. Lexi recently made headlines for this video of her singing the National Anthem. However, in my opinion, this beautiful gospel song is what this tiny angel was born to sing.

Want to see more of Lexi's incredible talent? Check out this video of Lexi singing "How Great Thou Art." If she's this amazing on a morning talk show and from the comfort of her own home, can you imagine what's in store for her future?!
