A source close to Lisa Marie Presley has shed light on what might have caused her unexpected death in January 2023.
TMZ has reported that Lisa Marie was reportedly on medication to lose weight and had relapsed and was taking opioids when she died.
The source claims that Lisa Marie lost 40 to 50 pounds ahead of awards season because she wanted to "look her best" at the Golden Globes. It's unclear what, if any, medication she was taking to that end.
A number of fans were surprised by Lisa Marie's appearance at the Golden Globes only days before she died. Lisa Marie appeared frail and disoriented at times.
Lisa Marie's exact cause of death has not yet been released, pending toxicology results.
